Help Rep. Mike Pence Stop the Abortion Bailout

Representative Mike Pence (R-IN) has recently introduced a bill called the Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act (HR 614). This bill is a very important step toward our fight to Stop the Abortion Bailout since it would legally prevent your tax dollars from funding groups that perform abortions, groups like Planned Parenthood. There are several ways that Congress forces taxpayers like you to fund abortion advocates. A prime example is the Title X Program, which funds family planning services. This program is a hefty source of funding for Planned Parenthood and other abortion advocates. Planned Parenthood received millions of dollars through this program last year and we now know they'll be asking this Congress for an even greater funding increase this year. According to federal regulations, all Title X clinics must offer referrals for abortions and dispense all forms of contraception. These clinics are not required to notify parents of minors who seek abortions or contraception. This loophole allows sexual predators to access contraception and obtain abortions to cover up the abuse of their victims. Last year, a Title X-funded Planned Parenthood clinic in Cincinnati, Ohio came under fire for refusing to report a disturbing case of incest. A young girl was brought by her abusive father to the clinic to receive an abortion. When the girl confessed her situation to clinic workers, no report was made to law enforcement. Planned Parenthood workers simply sent her back home with birth control, and her abuse continued for the next one and a half years. Clinics who put their bottom line before the well-being of women and children do not deserve taxpayer funds! Contact your Congressman today and urge them to oppose any efforts to increase the Title X program by serving as a co-sponsor for Rep. Pence's Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act.

Protect the Hyde Amendment!

The battle we have been preparing for these past few months is now fast approaching. The pro-abortion groups are clamoring for their own stimulus package!

At the top of the pro-abortion majority's hit list are pro-life riders like the Hyde Amendment.

The Hyde Amendment, named for the late pro-life hero Representative Henry Hyde (R-IL), has been in effect since 1976 and prevents the federal government from paying for abortions. Enacted under a Democratic Congress, the Hyde Amendment has been repeatedly renewed by administrations and Congresses regardless of which party is in control.

Now with a pro-abortion President and Congress, the other side is eager to wipe this crucial pro-life law from the books. Unless we stop them!

The bottom line is the American taxpayers should not be forced to have their hard-earned dollars pay for abortions!

Both Republicans and Democrats have expressed strong support for the Hyde Amendment, which reflects the concerns of Americans, like you, who do not wish to see their tax dollars used for any organization that provides abortion services.

Act to protect the Hyde Amendment and tell your Representatives not to allow your tax dollars to fund abortions!
